Info about Cryonics
Cryonics history and future
Cryonics is a very strange and futuristic procedure if you think about it. The procedure involves preserving the human body by keeping it in low temperatures so that it may be reanimated in the future. Cryonics is supposed to keep a human being is state of hibernation from which it can be reanimated. The procedure is under great debate for more than 50 years. People, who choose to be frozen and kept in time, do it because they want to see the future or because they have some sort of terminal illness and they hope that the future doctors, will have an answer to their problems.
During the history of modern life, a lot of people wanted to be frozen and awaken in the future. Amongst these people was Benjamin Franklin. He felt, what he calls a deep sorrow that he cannot be frozen in time and reanimated 100 years in the future to see how the American country and society evolved. He also wanted to be witness to how science evolved. Another great personality of history which was almost frozen in time is Lenin. After his death, members of his communist party wanted to freeze him in time so that he can be reanimated in the future to take even further the ideology of communism. In the end, he wasn’t put in the freeze chamber because the scientists of the time didn’t want to inflict injuries on his body and mind so instead he was preserved in a secret chemical bath. He can be seen up to this day sleeping in his coffin. There have been many attempts to freeze and preserve animals and humans but with no real success until the present day. Now it is possible to preserve a human body in ice and not do much damage to the tissues but the problem of reanimation is still present. In the future, scientists hope that they will be able to successfully reanimate the now frozen bodies of human beings. It is a topic of great debate but if they will be able to do it, then life as we know it will change forever.
If you plan to get yourself frozen in time then you must know that it is possible even if it is costly. It is not an exact science yet but maybe you will wake up in the distant future to be witness to the success of the procedure of reanimation from a cryonic sleep.
